Difference Between Fitbit Flex and Fitbit One

Anyone can be a tad perplexed with the choices at their disposal. It is not just about the FitBit Flex and FitBit One. Being indecisive while choosing two items that seem to be very alike and yet have their differences can come naturally to most people. When one of the two or more products is relatively cheaper or substantially more powerful, it is easy to decide. That kind of luxury doesn’t exist when you explore the difference between FitBit Flex and FitBit One. Both devices are almost the same price. The reason why we mention almost is the varied discounts you can get from different stores. These days it is very difficult to quote just one price of a particular product given the different kinds of offers and coupons, promotional codes and combo deals available all around.

FitBit Flex precedes FitBit One. It is thus a tad expected that the latter would be more evolved. FitBit Flex was a runaway hit when it launched. The distance tracker, the alarm, the tracker of sleep patterns, the calorie counter and the little things that made FitBit Flex wonderful will make many people nostalgic. But FitBit One also has its share of strengths. Don’t just decide against it because of its smaller size.

Here is the Difference Between FitBit Flex and FitBit One

FitBit One is, as expected, a more evolved device. The first thing you would notice through the first few week of using the FitBit One is the battery life; that is if you have used a FitBit Flex already. FitBit Flex lasts two days. In some cases, it can last three days. If you are using the alarm and other features that require the device to keep working then you are looking at short of two days. The FitBit One can last longer. Four to five days is easily what you can expect from the FitBit one. And if you use the devices in an ideal way, for its primary trackers and nothing else, then you would get a FitBit Flex lasting five days and a FitBit One lasting almost seven days.

FitBit One can track the activity when you climb or descend stairs. FitBit Flex doesn’t have this feature. It is not often people climb stairs these days but if you do then this feature can be very handy. In fact, there are people who climb several levels using the stairs and consciously avoid elevators. Why should anyone allow their fitness tracker to omit or just outright ignore such an activity?

Not too significant but FitBit One shows time. FitBit Flex doesn’t have time displayed on the home screen. Most people are likely to use their phones to check time and many still wear watches but having a feature like this is certainly appreciable, especially if you are someone who goes out jogging without your phone and without sporting a watch. FitBit one also shows your name instead of just a random and bland reboot.

FitBit One has a much better display and sorted categories. Some people must have told the developers that the LED lights with different positioning on the FitBit Flex don’t really offer an immediate or easy feedback to know how many calories you have burned or the distance you have traveled.

There are many little things that eventually make a substantial difference between FitBit Flex and FitBit One. For instance, the latter has a flower that shrinks and grows being influenced by the activity you indulge in. This is a really cool feature for those who are observant enough. On the other hand, the FitBit Flex has a fine belt clip that can really free up your wrist if you need to. Finding a FitBit Flex and FitBit One would also have a different experience for you depending on which model your nearest store has. You can certainly by online. Strangely, some places don’t have the FitBit Flex and have FitBit One while some places are still selling the Flex and don’t have the One.

To be completely fair, FitBit Flex is a great device and so is FitBit One. The Flex has undergone updates so you don’t really get compelled to keep using outdated technology. FitBit One is niftier and it is more evolved. Even the Bluetooth has a tinge of difference, possibly due to an enhanced data rate. There are many FitBit devices out on sale right now. Many people are clubbing two or more devices. Don’t club FitBit Flex and FitBit One. They both have similar purposes. You can combine other devices with either as that may help you in many ways. You will have to choose between FitBit Flex and FitBit One. Consider the differences shared here, read reviews if you want and then let your personal preferences decide.
